Planting the Seeds of a Stronger North Georgia
The Oak Society was created by the North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF) to engage the next generation of Hall County in philanthropy. The Oak Society brings together individuals passionate about philanthropy, combining their resources to make a meaningful impact in our community. The goal is to combine each group member’s individual contributions and make a larger, more meaningful grant that can affect change within our community.
General Membership
General membership to the Oak Society will start at $500 annually. Each membership will secure one vote in the selection of the final grant recipient.
Spaces for general membership are limited.

The grants from the Oak Society are funded by individual memberships with the ultimate goal of creating an endowment that can be passed down to each new generation of philanthropists. Memberships will be invested in a charitable fund at NGCF. Grants to organizations and community projects will be selected by the membership and distributed from this fund.
The Oak Society was founded by 25 individuals in Hall County who believed in supporting the community through philanthropy and collaboration. These individuals committed to paying an annual membership of $1,000 for 3 years. Their investment was critical to establishing the necessary funds for NGCF to launch, administer, and sustain The Oak Society.
