Supporting Your Passions Today, Tomorrow and Forever
From a young age Pat Mitchell understood the power of philanthropy. She shares this same giving spirit with her husband, Dirk. By having a Donor Advised Fund at NGCF, the Mitchells are able to carry on a family legacy of giving, along with supporting nonprofits that are near and dear to each of their hearts.
One of Pat’s many passions is animals, which drew her to Frankie & Andy’s Place, “a unique combination of a senior dog shelter and an emotional healing center for troubled humans.” Along with being a regular volunteer at Frankie & Andy’s Place, the Mitchells also have been an important sponsor of this nonprofit’s annual golf tournament. Recently Pat wrote and published a children’s book about dogs, with all proceeds to benefit Frankie & Andy’s Place. Pat didn’t stop there. She says, “Dirk and I are so impressed with our fund at NGCF that it seemed like a wise fiscal idea for me to lead Frankie and Andy’s Place to NGCF to see if a designated donor fund was right for them.”
This is just one great example of how NGCF allows an opportunity for giving to come full-circle, furthering a fundholder’s philanthropic impact and advancing a nonprofit’s mission.
