Application Process:

Once you register on the scholarship portal, you will be able to access and complete applications online.

Common Scholarship Application

Most of our scholarships utilize the ‘common scholarship application.’ The responses you provide on this application will match you with the scholarship opportunities you’re eligible for, which will appear in your portal once the common application is submitted. Click on each of these to access its specific ‘addendum.’ These addendums must be completed and submitted by the application deadline (March 1 at 5:00pm) to ensure your submission is officially considered.

Things to keep in mind and remember:

• You may apply for as many scholarships for which you meet the eligibility criteria
• Each scholarship fund has additional required questions or attachments. You must complete and submit the addendum page for each scholarship for which you apply.
• You may be required to upload documents to the application or addendum – so be sure to get started early. Please upload PDFs of any required attachment.
• Applications may be completed in a single sitting or saved as a draft and finished later by selecting ‘My Saved Applications.’
• Save your draft applications regularly as you work!

A few of the scholarships we administer have individual applications which are accessible on the scholarship portal. Students can test their eligibility to see if they are applicable to them. The scholarships include:

Scholarship Application Calendar

Refer to this Scholarship Application Calendar for information on important deadlines, as well as how scholarship awards will be determined and announced.

Jan. 15: Scholarship applications are open by 9:00 a.m. on our online portal.

March 1: Deadline at 5:00 p.m. to submit applications to online.

March-April: Scholarship committees meet to review applications

May: Scholarship awards are typically announced at student school honors nights. If this does not occur, the students will be notified by NGCF or the scholarship fundholder.

June: Scholarship award recipients complete required paperwork to accept award and current scholarship recipients are notified to complete paperwork for scholarship renewals

July: Scholarship payments are mailed directly to recipients’ schools
