Scholarships
The North Georgia Community Foundation administers scholarships established by individual donors and organizations who believe in the importance of the future of the next generation and have chosen to make a difference by helping deserving students continue their education.
For Students
At NGCF we help manage scholarship funds established by generous donors who believe helping students achieve their dreams of continuing their education is instrumental in the future sustainability of our region. Each scholarship has its own specific purpose and eligibility criteria, and awards vary in size depending on the amount available in each particular fund.
For Scholarship Reviewers
Thank you to our scholarship committee members, community volunteers, and board of directors who help to review scholarship applications! You are an instrumental part of the scholarship cycle and we appreciate your time and efforts in these reviews.
Send a Student to College
Post-secondary education is one of the best ways for individuals to improve their lives and ultimately make positive contributions to the community. Americans with a four-year degree earn more on average than people without a degree and post-secondary degrees play a huge role in the quality of the future workforce.
As the donor, you choose the eligibility and selection criteria. You can create a scholarship that is geared toward a specific career path, recognizes achievement in a particular sport or activity, supports a specific high school, requires a minimum GPA or sends a kid to a specific college.
Starting a fund is easy, and we are here to help you create the fund you envision.
