History
Established in 2015 as an affiliate of the North Georgia Community Foundation (NGCF), the Forsyth County Community Foundation (FCCF) exists to connect local generosity with the nonprofits serving Forsyth County—ensuring that charitable giving stays rooted in the community it supports.
A Pivotal Moment for Forsyth County: Launching First-Ever Grant Cycle
In 2025, FCCF received a transformational $2 million investment—made possible by a $1 million commitment from NGCF and a dollar-for-dollar match by longtime Forsyth County philanthropist Tommy Bagwell—strengthening the FCCF Community Grant Endowment Fund and launching FCCF’s first-ever community grant cycle.

FCCF Advisory Board
The Forsyth County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the North Georgia Community Foundation and is guided by a local advisory board of community leaders representing a cross-section of public interests in Forsyth County. The advisory board provides local insight and leadership; grant decisions are administered through NGCF’s established grantmaking process.
